CDBG-DR Grant Overview
The Community Development Block Grant-Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) grant is designed to provide funding to communities impacted by major disasters, including hurricanes, earthquakes, and floods. The goal of this program is to help assist in recovery and rebuilding efforts through funding for housing rehabilitation, infrastructure improvements, and economic development projects.
Administered by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), CDBG-DR funds are awarded to states, territories, and local governments that have been declared eligible for disaster assistance. The funds are intended to complement other federal recovery programs, filling in gaps where additional support may be needed.
